What are the signs of Downs Syndrome?

Just had ds3 5 weeks ago. He has been a very placid, sleepy and lethargic baby so far. Since he was born I have felt there has been something different about him and dh mentioned that he looked like he had ds. How obvious are the signs at this age and what should I be looking for?

if he had down's believe me, it'd have been spotted by the paeds whilst he was in hospital.

If he has downs this would most definitely been noticed. Some babies are more lethargic than others. However, if you are at all worried please take him to your GP today. Better to be on the safe side with tiny ones.

I have got the hv coming later so will mention it then.

there can be all sorts of reasons for lethargy. but crackfox makes a good point, if teh HV is coming along, best to mention it today and get your concerns addressed.

struan is finally sleeping after a rather fractious night. poor soul, he's still about confused about what is day and what is night.
