dd wears glasses. she has 2 pairs.
sh goes to her room in the evenings and "reads" so she has to have a pair on there. so we use her old ones.(as she is very heavey handed with them)
they are broken.
I have just told the opticians thst she has lost one of her good pair.........
so I will now get a free replacement.
is that really bad?
she does need a 3rd pair

Well I'm sure the old glasses were quite good, in their own way .

feelingbitbetter · 11/11/2008 10:49

No. I'd not lose any sleep over it.
She needs a 3rd pair and you've got them .

wannaBe · 11/11/2008 10:55

no. You have confessed my child, thus your sins are forgiven.

dsrplus8 · 11/11/2008 12:16

do kids not get free glasses anyway?one of my boys breaks his deliberatly so he doesnt have to wear then because he gets teased at school! i just take him down to get them replaced or fixed ,he must have had at least six pairs in the last year---if your going to hell ,im really screwed then!!

she gets her 2 pairs free. and the replace them if they are lost of broken as she is under 16.
but she needs those 2 pairs. so she wears an old pair in her bedroom.

The system should be flexible enough to allow 3 pairs if 3 pairs are essential. It isn't and there is no approved way round it. Just so long as no over-officious post Shipman antifraud scrutineer doesn't get wind of it---

No, you definitely will not go to hell!! They are the first thing to be demolished when DS2 loses his temper or gets frustrated so we are well known in our local opticians.

You need them, don't feel guilty!! they will make life easier!

misscutandstick · 13/11/2008 13:17

Kids break glasses all the time. My sister would say to mum, "I'm going to break my glasses now", and snap, they were broken.

So you do def need a spare spare

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 13/11/2008 23:41

we get ne pair free a time, max ne replacement in 6 monts as sam damaged (read threw out car window under lorry) so many pairs

dont worry 2shoes, God understands

LynetteScavo · 13/11/2008 23:42
