My 19 year old DD who has c.p. is goin into hospital tomorrow for a Urostomy [urine bag on stomach] [sp] I will stay with her throughout I don't know if I'll get a bed because of her age she'll be on adult ward god it is the most loneliest walk...I'm trying to be brave for her but had poxy day and more stressed than ever. Has anyone had this op? know someone who has? any advice on success/recovery would be good.
Highlight of the day....seeing DD buying knickers in bulk because she's always had pads the joy on her face was untrue [glad]

Good luck for tomorrow, I have no real experience of what your DD is going through, but I have had a good number of ops.. on my bladder! Not fun!

Can imagine what fun DD had buying new knickers
I remember that so well! (I too bought new knickers!!)

So!! Good Luck, Thinking of you and DD!

Take care!

The very best of luck for the op and hope they can accommodate you. Buying knickers is fun (Arabica remembers those far-off days whenpre kidswhole hours were whiled away in M&S lingerie section)
