Ive got a bad cold and portage comming any minute :(

We have been waiting for portage for 5 months and eventualy they are comming (any minite), i feel like im comming down with the flu and i know im going to find it hard to listen to her

im a bit of a man when it comes to colds, i don't realy know alot about portage so i don't know what to expect. Dd1 is on top form this morning and has decided she wants to comunicate through picture cards for the first time ever

our portage lady was fab - just like a private toy library for dd1. Each week she'd bring a range of stuff to get dd1 interested in, form arts and crafts to musical toys, to threading beads etc.

Depending on what we thought dd1 needed to work on (fine motor skills, listening skills, etc) she adapted what she brought.

If anything took dd1's fancy, we could usually hang on to it for a couple of weeks.

She was also helpful with DLA forms and stuff, and the best child centred meeting we had were arranged by portage - they got everyone involved with dd1 together (and us) so that we could all talk about where to go - none of this letters being sent and waiting 2 months for a reply.

She has been (just gone) she was a great help and brought some nice toys for dd to play with, stacking toys, puzzles and beed threading.

Dd did realy well but got frustrated with the shape sorter.

She's comming again next week and will leeve a toy for dd to play with.

Im feeling a bit better now
