Dd2 does'nt realy play, just lines things up, does puzzles and eats evrything.

So what do i get her for x-mas?

She will be almost 3, i was thinking of getting her a wheely bug (large) as she likes ride-on toys. Can't realy think of much else.

Zoundz by Zizzle is similar to the music cubes and ds1 loves his - it's available from Firebox.com as are the underwater spa lights that change colour for the bath (rec by someone on here 2 yrs ago).

My son's zoundz was picked up from Home Bargins for £5 by a dear friend of mine who asked the lady in front of her in the queue why she was buying 5 and it was for an asd special school unit!I so aspire to live near a branch of Home Bargains.

I have also had spa lights from toysrus for half the price of the firebox ones.

Ds1 loves photo albums as presents filled with everyday things he's currently obsessed with- we even had a scrap book with pictures of urinals and hand dryers from plumbers catalogues!

I find pyjamas with what ever he likes at the moment (spiderman) are good too - day wear involves too many arguments re when it's appropriate to wear it!

The gianr magnetics are great! I wondered about a ride in style car (cosy coupe) Ds used to love opening and closing the door, filling the boot - then emptying it again, and just sitting in it like a nest! It was the only thing he could sit in unrestrained.

My ds2 also loves his aunts digital photo frames, he loves it when the photos change so we have to have it on the quickest speed so he doesn't get bored.

I was thinking of getting one of those & downloading photos of the things he likes looking at, like the stones on the beach or Aldeburgh church.

Think of all the bribery I could use it for

What a fantastic idea. DS1 would love that. Are there any indestructible ones?

jimjamshaslefttheyurt · 12/09/2008 20:42

I have spa lights (£3 from avon) upstairs hidden ready for the xmas stocking.

zoundz look good too.

What a great thread!

DS2 has a bubble machine for the bath - can't remember where I bought it, but think from same place as I got the spa lights. You stick it to the tiles with suckers, put a bit of bubble bath (or Johnson's babywash) in, top it up with water, press button and LOADS of great bubbes come out. The motor isn't loud and you can alter the size and consistency of the bubbles by changing the water/soap ratio. It's fab!
It's called ' Bubbles for Babes'

Having just googled that sphil I would never have guessed that 'topless' carwashes with 'ample' ladies existed in Birmingham!

luckylady74 · 14/09/2008 00:10

I didn't dare search anymore sphil so I would really appreciate a link thanks!

sphil · 14/09/2008 08:14

here you are. I didn't get mine from Amazon, but it looks exactly the same - and cheaper than mine was too!

luckylady74 · 14/09/2008 09:50

Thanks sphil - it's now in my basket!
