DS (almost 3) started preschool today. We are on the long grinding process of assesment for ASD and our (crap) community paed had said he should go to the 'opportunities' special needs school.

We trusted our instincts and he has started at a lovely local one, the manager is a qualified SALT and their ofsted report was all 'good' or 'outstanding'.

When I picked him up I chatted with his keyworker, and she asked me which preschool he went to before, and seemed really surprised when I said this was his first day at one. She said he played beautifully, really engaged with the other children and was a wonderfully happy and confident little boy. My heart truly soared.

I'm so excited to see how he develops there.
