I am with child. It will be my second. DS is 3 now and by some strange coincidence the next child is due on his 4th birthday. I haven't told anyone yet (apart my DP) because its just early days 5 weeks but Im bursting to tell someone. I was worried about having another child DS has ASD but at the moment I'm really really excited!

DD was born 4 days shy of DS's 4th birthday.

I had similar fears but actually it was teh fact that she was (as far as we know) NT that ended up giving me more of a headache...she kept doing things i wasn't used to and freaking me out! lol

awww thank you guys. I am a bit worried about how I will I cope with 2 sets of sleepless nights because ds is a really bad sleeper at the moment. I feel so out of practice even though its not been that many years, I cant remember what foods Im supposed to avoid when the scans are etc. Im suffering with really terrible all day morning sickness at the moment. I had it so bad with Ds.

I didnt know there so many other pregnant mums here- how exciting.

Congratulations ... and try not to worry, you never know another child might ease things a bit ...sometimes two are easier to look after than one as they have a friend/sibling to play & learn with .... wishing you lots of luck X

The little bro' has helped my ASD son enormously. I've read that dogs can help ASD children but I'm not keen on dogs, the cats are no use so another child has been the ideal solution.

Congratulations Staryeyed! I wanted to post sooner but we were away. This is so exciting, does it mean you will be changing your home situation? Any other news? Have you seen that Kestrel House is finally opening and they are having a parents' open day in Sept, I can give you info if you need it.

Congratulations, staryeyed. I met my 4 day old nephew last week and am now feeling very broody! (But I don't think I can cope with more than two!) I also find having a second is a great influence on the first (we currently think DS is probably NT, but still a little early to tell!)

thanks everyone.

Yes Davros we moved about 2 months ago; we finally have our own space which is so much better for us all and DS has a trampoline! DS has no SN nursery place (have been moaning on other threads) thinking again about Treehouse. Would love the info for Kestrel House please.
