FINAL DIAGNOSIS FOR BONKERZ DS.................................

DS has AUTISTIC SPECTRUM DISORDER!!!!!

ADOS test DS scored highly in all 3 areas, in 2 areas he scored double the cut off and in the thrid area he scored one point above the cut off.

Just saw this and had to LOL a little at the inconsistencied as d's dx includes hfa / as and spd - no atypical!

i know peachy, think the DX you get depends on where you live, where the DR was trained and how much you push!!
Got letter from CAMHS today saying they had recieved report from DR and that DS has a DX of ATYPICAL AUTISM AND ODD AND SEVERE ANXIETY and that he is being referred for a full psychological assessment to determine any further problems and will also be referred to SALT.
NOW should i ring them and sya never mind the SALT because he will be getting 2 hours a week at the priory school starting OCT or do i let them carry on with the referral?
Had to laugh cos the letter is off the psych who told me there was nothing wrong with DS and he has literally written the DX and what referrals have been made and asked me to ring his secretary if i want to talk! I sense some embarrassment!!!

OMG had another letter today form the same psych as before....he now says DS has ODD, Atypical Autism, Severe Anxiety, Severe emotional and behavioural Delay and Segmantic Pragmatic Disorder.....All this is listed at the start of the letter under the heading OFFICIAL DIAGNOSIS. Bit confused now as last letter said he was referring on for further assessment and this letter says DS has these things! I dont think they know what they are doing for sure! Or maybe they just cant be arsed to assess DS anymore and have decided to just DX him with everything.
