I have seen a lot of these referred to today on SN threads

What on earth do they mean?

Assuming they are helpful for kids with ASD - Would an Aspergers child be helped by these ideas

I have spent 3 hours this week reading stuff the National Autistic Society have sent me and didnt come across any of these!

TIA

Oh the NAS is hopeless when it comes to interventions.

DTT stands for discrete trial training
more about floortime here

intensive interaction is usually used with severely autistic children and adults or people with fairly severe learning difficulties.

Ooh thanks for that jimjams, all these words and concepts are like another language to me!

Ive just been talking to my mum who yet again informed me that she doesnt think we should 'label' ds or draw attention to his aspergers etc. I think she would prefer it if we ignored it tbh

Its so frustrating!
