Poo problems

DS has over the last week or so started having increasingly frequent poo accidents - usually in the evening. If this continues I will of course take him to the GP. But I wonder how/if it is possible to tell whether it's an overflow/constipation problem, or something completely different.

well after a clear saturday and most of sunday, DS has had another explosion. I let him have a glass of milk and cheese sandwich at lunchtime. I suspect this is the culprit. And to add to the joy, I think DS has got nits! Given he hates hairwashing at the best of times, I'm going for the v. short haircut (which we do anyway as he doesn't mind clippers but hates having hair cut with scissors by me), and hedrin approach and crossing my fingers. Oh joy reigns tonight in the chaotic household!!!!

My DS has Movicol powder in his milk which keeps him regular ! ... but only if you use it every day, you just have to test the amount used to see what suits you.

Hi Raine, thanks for the post. I don't think movicol will be needed - rather than some sort of constipation/overflow problem, I'm reasonably sure it's a temporary lactose intolerance - so I'm not completely restricting dairy, but being sparing with it.
