I'm done

I feel so done. There's no other word. It's not just exhaustion, I'm not sick, I'm just done.
I have been to the GP who prescribed sleeping tablets and told me to take time for myself (???). We're waiting for a social care assessment. I've begged for help from SS and school. School increased his hours last week but now he's sick.
DH has got in trouble at work for being off (not to do with DS but because he's actually been ill). I worry about him loosing his job because I can't work. Eldest DDs job is also on shaky ground and last night I spent half the night in A&E with DD2 after she had 3 seizures and 2 fainting episodes in 12 hours(she does suffer from FND but this was unusual).
Got back home about an hour ago, can't sleep because DS is up and DH has gone to work and obviously I can't ask him to stay home. I feel like I'm on the edge of a nervous breakdown. I honestly don't want to deal with it. I know last night was a particularly bad night but I quite often feel this way.
I have tried to explain it but my friend (who I do cherish because she's pretty much my only friend) said oh well you don't work so it's not that bad. She doesn't have ND kids so possibly doesn't understand. I can't tell DH because he's under enough pressure and in the past has just said well you have to keep going there's no other choice.
Just done. So done.

I’m sorry things are so horrendously difficult.

How long have you been waiting for social care assessments? And is it for carer’s assessments for you and assessments for DC of their needs?

When you say school increased DS’s hours, do you mean they were (annd maybe still are) informally, unlawfully suspending DS?

Is there anything you can outsource? Are you claiming all the benefits you are entitled to?

Some find it helpful to find other parents with DC with additional needs. Either online or in-person.
