DD has been on gf/cf diet now for 10 days and the poo situation is getting ridiculous. She did a "proper" poo on the toilet on Tuesday evening. Wednesday morning we had poo in pants this has happened every day 3-5 times a day and within a 4 hour time period. Today has been horrible. She's gone through 7 pairs of pants and two pairs of trousers.

Is more poo a natural side effect of the change in diet? i know if that if she was toilet trained she would probably not be pooing as much in a day as she would get more out probably in the toilet (although there's quite enough in her pants!). Do you give your dc's any supplements ? Does she need more fibre?

Any tips would be more than grateful as i am sick and tired of being up to my armpits in.... well you know what!

My ds is not on a specific diet, but used to poo (always loosely) more than once every day (inevitably into pants). He isn't on any particular exclusion diet, but we have had some success with Viridian Probiotic Powder (Neal's Yard & other Natural Health Shops) on his breakfast cereal. Firmer poo, and only once a day .
