Hi, just wanted some advice please .... I have spent almost 10 hours in total on my childs first DLA claim, I gathered all the extra evidence to send. Put it all in wallets at the back of the claim booklet with a label on the front of each wallet to break down what was in each one etc. (9 wallets total but a number of different letters rtc in each one) Stupidly I did not write my childs name on the top each peice of paper of extra evidence or claim ref number. Completely my fault and my brain was frazzled by the end of it all. I have just read they scan it to a decision maker when it arrives and it could be 'lost' and they will go off of just the forms I filled. I did provide very detailed long answers but the evidence is very important as its all school, GP, paediatrics, SALT, ASD etc letters. Has this happened to anyone else and all been ok? Feel so stupid with the amount of effort I put in to then miss that out and they clearly state it in the booklet! 😟

I think they scan it as a bundle. I didn’t do this on a piece of evidence, but it was a letter which did have name etc on it anyway. It has to be registered before it goes into a queue for a decision maker so there’s time and you can call them to check. Once it’s been delivered and scanned they can confirm the docs/how many pages they can see on the screen. I did this on a MR just to make sure they had it all x

I would call to check they have all the information attached to the claim. If they don’t, you can then resend.
