Telephone orthoptics appointment as part of dyslexia assessment

My DC9 has been referred for assessment for dyslexia and the first stage is an orthoptics assessment. We have been given a phone appointment. Has anyone else had this? How does a phone appointment for this actually work? Thank you.

Unless this is just a fact finding appointment to gather information such as history, difficulties, etc. I’m not sure how a telephone orthoptic appointment would work. Intriguing.

Yes, that’s my thinking too. The school have filled in their assessments, and I’ve done the parent one. I might give them a call, as I suspect it may be a waste of time and I have a very anxious child who is worrying about it. Thanks for your reply!
