Hello all, hoping someone can suggest a solution for me.
I ve been fighting for a safety bed for almost a year for my son and after numerous appointments with LD nurses and OTs they finally agreed in May that a safety bed was an appropriate deprivation of liberty.
Had the appointment with the bed rep and OT in June to be told one more panel and it ll be ordered, the OT in question called in sick the next working day and has been off for 4 weeks now.
It seems although that appointment existed on DS's record the notes don't seem to and it sounds like they re in the OTs possession at their home handwritten in a notebook that no one's been able to retrieve.
Without those notes the bed decision can't go to panel, and I m a bit uncomfortable now that my son's notes are indefinitely at an OTs home and disgruntled that the bed company has 4-6 week waits for appointments if they have to do a second visit if they even allow it.
So basically I m after advice on how do I get this solved? Tried speaking to a manager this morning and for the 3rd time been told they d speak to a clinical lead and call back, the same promise I d had twice from the receptionists that never happened.
