Kids RTC assessment- no idea who to choose

I need to pick a provider and I’m not sure what to do. I am in the West Midlands. Do I need a local provider? Would I need to travel to where they are based for appointments? I need one that does both autism and ADHD assessments for 5+ which only leaves me with a few choices and they are in other parts of the country, several hours away. Does that matter?
Im looking at Pscion, Clinical Partners, and Held Health. Others on the Black Country ICB list either don’t do both, or the age limit is higher.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

There’s a really good group on Facebook for children’s RTC, there’s alot of info.
you can pick whoever you want, a lot are remote and read through their website to see if would need a face to face.
also check the clinic is still receiving funding as afew have been stopped lately

Some are online. Some aren’t. You will need to investigate each individual provider. For example, Psicon only offers Child ASD RTC assessments F2F, so, yes, you would need to travel to Kent or Hampshire. Check if it has changed, but the Black Country ICB was on the prior approval list.

For 5+ the child needs to be seen in person, so pick a provider you can travel to.
