NHS OT clinic assessment coming up, any advice?

Just wondering if anyone has any advice for me ahead of this assessment if you’ve been through it.

DC 6, has a (private pediatrician) diagnosis of ASD, SPD, anxiety. NHS OT clinic assessment soon, I think it is focusing specifically on sensory needs. Any questions to ask or information to take along? They haven’t said what the assessment involves but I’ve asked for more info on that. Thanks!

It can be helpful to make a timeline of events, any previous assessments, etc. Also think about making notes on things like developmental history, needs/difficulties, what support is already in place, what has previously been tried, what worked/didn’t work, what support you think is needed, what is important to DS/you and what is important for DS, how DS communicates/how others communicate with him, a bit about family/any other important people in DS’s life.

It can also help to write a list of questions to ask such as what assessments will be undertaken, will they observe DC at school (during structured and unstructured times, around peers and adults), will they look at all OT needs, not just SI.
