sorry for the title but i am just so so cross i can't contain my anger for the bl*y LEA

have received dd's statement in the post and it is just so badly written it's not worth the time of me reading it and the paper that it is wrote on

it is also a final amended statement when we haven't even received a proposed statement....grrr
ps dd's annual review was 25.02.08 so am i correct in thinking this statement has taken longer to produce than is required according to SEN code of practice?

oh and we are still waiting for last years statement as we threatened tribunal and received an amended proposed but never a final

advice on where, what to do now please(will be back tonight as am supposed to be planning my rainbows sessions atm)
thanks x

Hi chatee,

Talk to IPSEA and or SOS;SEN. They can both advise you.

IPSEA's website is www.ipsea.org.uk. Their phone line is often busy but do keep trying; think they operate an evening service too.

no advice sorry (dont know much about statementing)

But HUGE {{{hugs}}} because you sound like you need them, and you deserve them.

Sorry no advice either but this stuff makes me mad. Yet another case of LEA/DLAs making things even harder than they are already. GRRRR

You do not have to accept it. You have so many days (I think) to write back. You need to clearly decide what exactly what you want on the statement. You need to get part 2 right so that part 3 goes from there and then part 4. Definately contact SOS SEN or Ipsea they are both brilliant. If the LEa won't make changes (and they won't) then you have the right to take them to tribunal. SENDIST have a website.

Good luck
