A bit totally terrified nervous about what it is going to entail, who else will be there etc.

It is a thing being run at the school, first part of the session is the parents, nurse various SEN people all talking, advice on how to deal with various things, and the second is with the children, a sort of nurture time.

I think I will get a lot out of it, but groups of people terrify me!!!

School signed me up for DD's speech issues (waiting on speech therapy and audiology appointment following failed hearing test), but it will help with her ?AS issues too.

Will report back!

Ooh I think this is parentline (or link???)

It was good and sad at the same time I think. Today was only really the explaining what it was all about, the aims, getting to know the other parents etc.

I was pretty much the only one with a happy childhood

DD did a thing in a separate room, then came in with us and we did hand prints, but then the others were pootling about playing, I got her some paper to do drawing (it is what she always wants to do!!!), and she wanted to know why she wasn't with her class like normal, and then asked to go back I wondered if messing with the normal school routine would upset her. She wasn't in full on tantrum, but she wasn't happy to be there - even the idea of one to one time with me didn't compete with normal class stuff.

Second class today went much better. DD has known all week it was coming, and the set up (the complete unknown of last week threw her), and she was soooooooooooooo much happier.

The woman running the course commented on it too
