How long did you have to wait for EHCP?

I know the deadline is supposed to be 20 weeks, but we are currently at 36weeks and won’t see an educational psychologist till January so will be 50+ weeks minimum. How long did you have to wait?

You can challenge the LA’s breach of the statutory timescales. Have you emailed the Director of Children’s Services threatening JR? If not, you can do that. If you have and it hasn’t worked, and it works less now than in the past, you can send a pre-action letter. If you have done that but haven’t had movement, you can look at JR proceedings.

With my recent application for a Echp for ds it took 5 weeks for them do deside a assessment would be needed.
We saw the education phycologist a few weeks after they decided they would do the assesment.
Salt,Ot and physio have done their reports for the assessment so far.
Waiting on peadiatcian report and a report from portage
For us 20 weeks will be December.
I really hope it is done on time ds is already on part time hours because they don't have funding for 1-2-1.
