Little Piedro boots need new feet....

Hi, I've been having a sort out and came across 2 pairs of dd1's old piedro boots. I could just send them to the charity shop but would rather they went to a child that really needs them. They are just normal piedros with no special insoles or adaptations for my dd1.

Both are purple with a patent fake croc bit on the side. Sizes 20 and 23. They are pretty scuffed but otherwise in good shape.

Just thought they might be helpful to someone as a spare pair or if you are waiting for some to come through from orthotics.

Just let me know and I'll be happy to send them to you.

Hi misdee - yes I had another baby... she's now nearly 2. Time flies! dd1 is doing really well. She started walking last November which was pretty damn amazing - she is 5 now. I don't come on here so much now but pop in about twice a week.

How are things with you and yours? Nice to 'see' you!

our physio keeps the old ones in the cupboard so that newbies don't have to wait until their order comes through? we've had a couple of pairs that way in emergencies...

Piffle · 01/06/2008 20:52

give them back to orthotics... They send to roumania for the orphanage kids who have mobility issues due to long hours spent in cots.

Blu · 01/06/2008 21:38

Yes, 'our' orthotics service send them to Iraq. Apparantly.

DS had some of those purple ones with the mock croc.....

That was the last time DP was let loose with the catalogue

Hi Heart in the country - my dd is 2 and has AFOs but can only wear them for an hour at a time and at the moment we have nothing else supportive for her to wear whilst she is not in the AFOs as orthotics won't provide them. I can understand if you want to send them on to a charity but if not my dd is a size 20 so I think they would really help her out. I'm happy to pay postage or donate some money to a charity of your choice - let me know.

Hi hangingbellyofbabylon - very happy to send you the piedros for your dd. Do you want both pairs or just the 20s?

Don't worry about postage, I'm sure it won't be much.

Only thing is how to get your address... I don't really want to put my email address up here as it is rather obviously my name and I don't have CAT. Let me know if you have an email address you can post.

thanks - here is my email address - hope it's well disguised enough. I think at the moment just the size 20's would be great as dd is teeny and not growing fast so it could be an age before she gets to size 23!

We are about to have a pair of size 18 boots that my DD grew out of after only a few weeks if anyone reading this thread is interested. They are black patent and immaculate. They are very narrow though, the narrowest width.

HereComeTheGirls · 05/06/2008 12:59

..unless the physio wants them back to donate them elsewhere of course, just read thread properly
