DS is 9 he has Autism and sensory needs. In the hot weather if I open the bedroom windows he will sometimes hang out of them. I have tried fans before but the noise was too much for him. Are there any with no or low noise available?

Hi,
I don't have advice for fans, but have you tried the safety latches you can add to your windows? We have screw in ones on all our upstairs windows, due to DD (6, ASD, no sense of danger) and they allow for the windows to open, but not wide enough for her to be able to get through them.
They've worked wonders for letting air in without the constant worry of DD climbing into the window and falling out.

DS1 is super sensitive to noise. We have tried numerous fans. Even the supposedly quiet ones are too noisy for him.

Would DS wear ear defenders or noise cancelling headphones?

Has DS had a home OT assessment?

He won"t wear defenders we've tried. He's never at an OT home assessment but I could ask about one, thanks
