Ex wanting half of child's DLA

I share 50/50 custody of my son with my ex. I have noticed he has started trying to take him more nights and he has now asked for half of the DLA money. Bearing in mind, I get Carers allowance for him and I also buy his clothes and he gets swimming lessons and speech therapy which comes out of the DLA money. I also do most of the school runs and all the school
pick ups.
I am working part time and my ex works full time.
I know he is resentful that I get the Child benefit, Carers allowance and DLA for our child and that I am only working 12 hours a week whilst he works full time.
I don't want him to get any of this as I use the money for our son and I also take him on day trips etc, I've never seen anything on my son that my ex has bought. Is there anything my ex can do if I refuse?

You don’t have to share it. However, exH could try to make rival claims - that is often harder if the funds aren’t being misused (not sharing the DLA doesn’t automatically mean it is being misused). I know a few who have managed to have it covered by wider family court proceedings, so that is a possible route he could also go down.

He should be doing school pick ups on his nights or organising childcare.
