A double pushchair for 3.5 year old and newborn ?

Should I get one? Our son is 3.5, speech delayed with possible SEN. We’re currently waiting for CDC appointment and SEN under 5 meeting. He’s tall and looks older, he has meltdowns and falls to the floor. He runs out into the road so I have to keep a tight grip of his hand. I can’t imagine how I am going to cope with a newborn in a pram. I was hoping by the time baby comes (due in 2 weeks) he would have improved and be walking better, have some fear of danger etc. but it’s slows progress. I don’t drive either so we rely on walking. I know people were starting to judge me when he was in his stroller, telling me he’s too big and he should walk. So I stopped using it but as i say I have to keep a tight grip or he’s gone. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Ignore other people. If you need to use a pushchair for DS, use one.

I am in a similar situation and was thinking about the Babyjogger City Mini GT2 double. It's meant to be good for tall children and you can attach a carrycot for the newborn. I do want to test it out before buying, as I've read that some Babyjogger pushchairs have seats which don't go fully upright, and my son would hate that!

Thank you for the helpful replies!
So baby is here now and we tried a buggy board but I found it difficult crossing roads and getting on curbs etc. So I’m a bit stuck at home at the moment. I’ve heard about this baby jogger buggy’s , I’ve seen a few on marketplace secondhand so I’m definitely thinking of buying one off there to be honest. I hopefully won’t need it too long because DS is starting school in September

Congratulations!!

I think buying off Marketplace is a great idea – I will be doing the same.
