Disability grants for garden fence

Hello, I was wondering if there is any disability grants available for gardens, my fence isn’t safe enough for my autistic daughter to play in the garden and with the summer coming I’m hoping to be able to make it secure so she can enjoy some time in the garden.

Have you checked if you are eligible for a family fund grant?

In some cases, a disabled facilities grant can include work on the garden. Although not likely to be sorted by this summer.

Well Child offer garden makeovers for DC with complex needs. If DD is ‘only’ autistic (or ‘only’ has co-morbidities such as ADHD), she won’t qualify. I mention it in case there is something more, but you haven’t gone into detail in your OP.

Do you have a disability social worker or any contact with your local children with disabilities team at the council? They should have details of any local charities that can help with this sort of thing. You may also be able to apply for a DFG but that is usually a long process.
