Hi, my 5 year old DS is Autistic and verbal. He has a broad vocabulary. He doesn't tell me anything that has happened in his day and when asked he doesn't share. Has anyone found that this improves as your child gets older or is there anything specific you used to help develop these skills?
Thanks.

Mine is semi verbal but can't speak in sentences yet. I mentioned this to school that I wanted to know more about what they've been up to and now they write a few things in a diary for us nearly every day. When we come home I can now say what did you make today? or did you do x, y or z today?

After mentioning it to other mums with NT children I have had back 'Well our kids don't either!' so i dont think it's just an ND thing!
