DS5 AuDHD never gets invited to play dates or parties and I fully understand why. He is hard work. But also I feel sad for him.
But he just received a party invite and am so emotional about it.
First the mum text to ask if a) he would be free on that date and b) would want to go. She said she didn’t want to give him an invite without checking in case he couldn’t go and this upset him. So thoughtful!
She reassured me that there would be no offence taken if he needs time out or to leave early if overwhelmed.
I am just so happy for him and so grateful for her thoughtfulness.
