Pavlik Harness - is a sling out of the question?

Hope this is in right topic.
Will ask physio also but wondered if anyone uses a sling while their LO is in harness? I have a Wilkinet, a Hug A Bub and a Mothercare carrier. DD only 3.5 weeks old and 9lb 12oz so heavy to carry around but dont want to make her hip dysphasia worse by shoving her in a sling.

my friend was told it was fine for her DD to be in a sling whilst she was in a hip harness. She used a bogstandard tomy sling.

hmmmm - thinking about it, possibly she wasn't in the hip harness till later, just casts all the way up the leg at that age. will have to double check with her.

I was advised not to put dd in a sling. Her hips were grade 5 each side, which is quite bad. That was 5 years ago though, and might not be what they advise now.

just been looking over at bounty's special needs forum, there seem to be quite a few ladies on there with experience of hip dysphasia, so if you don't get an answer on here, it might be worth while posting over there, or on the steps forum.
