NHS Autism assessment, final stages questions

DS (8) had an autism assessment in spring and was diagnosed with a number of disorders (sensory, social etc) and we were then put on the list to see if these disorders reached the threshold for an Autism diagnosis. We had this last week and have now received a phone appointment. Has anyone had the follow up appointment by phone? What did this involve? Was there any other follow up?

We had the results initially by phone recently which were confirmed yesterday letter a little later. We were told at the very first appointment though that a diagnosis shouldn't come as too much of a shock.

Things like whether there will be any further involvement will depend on the area.

If DS needs onwards referrals anywhere it is worth asking. Similarly, if DS needs anything to aid sleep, it is worth asking.
