How does it work? Do you have to be on DLA? I still haven't applied for ds1 yet.

I didnt think much to london zoo, its so vastly overpriced

oiFoiF · 23/04/2008 12:04

Chops i have spoken to Steve at the Zoo and he seems to be a really nice guy why dont you ring him and ask for his advice on how to get entry? i'm sure he will try to help... he is very keen to make the day a big success!!

This is very interesting as I am desperate to get my DS interested in / able to recognise animals, and on a page they just don't mean much to him. Might try and get a gang of my autistic mum chums to go.

lottiejenkins · 23/04/2008 16:26

OiFoiF... The prices are reduced on the special day.

I might try and do this, though of course it will still be very crowded as it's a Saturday in June. But Steve tells me you won't have to queue to get in and there'll be other perks too, like an entrance near the car park and special events etc

lottiejenkins · 23/04/2008 16:34

He seems to be a really nice guy... I have contacted all the SN schools in our area and emailed the details so i think that should help. My ds went three years ago with his link carer and loved it/ He is a BSL user and all the highlights have bsl interpreters too!!
