If you have or have had a preschooler with developmental delay and probable ASD, what are their favourite things to play with?
I am at a loss for DS, almost 3. Most things he just puts in his mouth and then throws. I've tried magnetic tiles, duplo, cars etc but everything just gets thrown or smashed and not actually played with.
The only thing he's interested in is light and sound so everything is just push button stuff that plays music and lights up. What else might he like that I'm missing?
He's got bead mazes and sensory soft things he quite likes but I want to get him a new toy box and some new things as he's getting bored and we will be inside a bit more now.
He won't actually sit down and do anything ie painting, drawing etc.
I was thinking maybe dressing up things but don't know if he'd understand that.
Any idea welcome, thanks.
