DS is almost 11 and really struggles with relationships. He has a tendency to crush hard on a child, usually a girl and create a very intense friendship situation where the friend / acquaintance becomes the be-all and end all. Often this is on children he barely knows and sometimes it's definitely unwelcome. The frustrating thing is, there are other children who genuinely want to engage with him and he pretty much blanks them because he fixates on one individual.
Anyone know any good books with tips for managing this. Thinking of something aimed at parents as DS is not a keen reader himself. I just have no idea how to manage it and it's creating problems...
