Settling a Disability Discrimination claim against a school for money

Has anyone had experience of getting a financial offer from a school to drop a disability discrimination case? We have a trial date and the barrister says we have a very high probability of winning 80%+. No doubt the school see the judgement as wrecking their private school reputation and have asked if we will consider an offer.

No experience, but what is your goal? Are you hoping to get the school to revise a policy? Are you looking for money to fund your child’s education elsewhere?

your post talks about the school protecting its reputation, but often settlements are a simple numbers game. Trials are expensive for both sides. You might be better off accepting a settlement than getting a win.

I agree with @Ponderingwindow about thinking about what you want. For some, money doesn’t matter and they want the judgement. For others, especially those with representations, decide the offer outweighs the costs.

Depends how much is money
and how angry you are .

if it is less than 10k
i would continue seeking justice .
