Universal Credit or child tax disability element

I moved over to universal credit in June and found out my Son is entitled to dla in July.
They backdated his dla from the end of February when I asked for his dla forms.

My question is it Universal Credit or Child Tax Credit that should back date his disability element. I've contacted Universal Credit and they said they can't verify his dla past the beginning of June.

Upload the letter to your uc account that you received from DLA and they should give you the disability and carers element, it should be backdated from the date dla have stated but it depends on when your assessment period lands.

Hello, it doesn't say that I can upload anything

You need to contact your case manager so put a message in your journal and ask them to put an upload request on there so you can upload your letter, if they don’t reimburse you because of the change over in June I would contact tax credits with the letter as evidence and ask them to reimburse it seen as you were on that in February prior to the migration. It would be absolutely awful if they don’t backdate to February for you that’s quite a bit of money they are refusing to pay.
Hope you get it sorted

Thank you I will do that

Part will be from CTC and part from UC. You will not receive UC disabled child element (or carer element) for the period of time before the UC started. That period would covered by CTC.

So do I need to contact CTC and tell them?

Yes.
