Hi,

I sent off my DSs DLA application in February and today received a letter to say that he will be receiving DLA. The letter was mainly about my responsibilities to spend the DLA correctly etc and there was no mention of which rate/ band DS has been awarded.

Then I checked the bank account and saw £1697.55 had been deposited yesterday, presumably backdated to when I made the application back in late Feb but I still can’t figure out which of the 3 rates he has been awarded.

Has anyone else experienced this and did they eventually get a more detailed letter..

thank you.

Thank you. DS doesn’t have mobility issues really, only care but I couldn’t get it to tally up after playing around on a calculator.

when did you receive your first letter?

Did you call up for the forms? If so and you returned them on time what date did you call? If you didn’t call up what date did DWP receive the form?

I think I printed the forms, posted them back at the end of February and then received a confirmation that the application had been received a couple of weeks afterwards. I was a bit surprised that they gave me a date so delayed as it must have arrived well before then.

So it is MRC/LRM.

4 weeks at 23/24 rates - 4 x (£68.10 + £26.90) = £380
13 weeks at 24/25 rates - 13 x (£72.65 + £28.70) = £1,317.55
£380 + £1,317.55 = £1697.55

Thank you so much Brum, you are a superstar! And far better at maths than me!
