What's Chessington world of adventure like?

We are going to Chessington world of adventure at the weekend. Has anyone been and what's it like?

we got the tickets through Merlin's magic wand as our DD (4) has autism. When it came to booking the tickets I chose Chessington as we've never been and it's about 2 hours away from us which is fine.

main query's are really will she be able to get on much? She's about 90cm little for her age, is therw much for DS (9) I'm sure it'll be great we went to peppa pig world a few times and our son loved it too.

Is it going to be hours and hours of queuing? Again fine just need to know if I should bring her iPad or something to entertain her for long periods of time standing around

Hi, we’ve been a few times! Our autistic ds was 3 and 4 during our visits, we went during the kids summer holidays so may be a bit different! So most of the smaller rides had low ques(10-20mins) the bigger ones or the Gruffalo ride (we loved this!) had about 1-2 hours wait…. We took our own food the second visit as the ques for food etc were horrendous when we went. We definitely took tablets and other bits for entertainment. Hope this helps!

There’s plenty for both ages to do, but it is likely to be busy. Have you applied for a ride access pass?

We found there was (different) piped music in the open areas in every zone, sometimes from speakers hidden in fake trees etc, and this was an issue for our DS (who is fine with general hubbub of lots of people chatting etc) - bring ear defenders if that might be an issue for yours!

Chessington is more family orientated so has lots for little ones. If you don't have a ride access pass the queues can be quite long. You can get a ride access pass for free or upgrade it to an access card, but they seem to be limiting how many they'll issue each day this year so it's probably too late to get one for this weekend.
