Yurt1, I thought of you today when I read this article.

Hi Yurt, don't know if this will be any help or not. I was flicking through mum's Sunday Express and there was an article about the Parker family and their son Christopher who is severely autistic. Anyway, the bit that caught my eye was "A bomb-proof coating has been applied to the windows in their sun room to stop Christopher smashing the glass with his head"
I haven't a clue what this coating is but given your recent problems with DS1 and windows I thought you might be interested. I've tried and failed to find the article online for you but it was in today's Sunday Express under 'features' and the article was written by David Paul. The boy's father, Charles Parker has written a book called 'Tell it as it is'. Sorry I can't be more help.

oooh - thanks- that does sound interesting...... We have ordered double glazing (which we can't afford) for upstairs now I don't even want to think about how we are going to pay for it. Downstairs would have bankrupted us so I am going to have a go at getting a DFG to pay for it. Don't hold out much hope though.
