I have started a government Petition to- Stop classifying SEN Pupils as "Persistently Absent" for medical absences- which I have posted on the petitions section but I am also looking for parents and carers who support the petition and who would be willing to submit a short video to say why they think this should change. The video can be as short or as long as you like and the first ones are up already from people who support . I don't edit them and I really am just looking for people to share first hand why the policy is ableist and maybe how it impacts them. I know not everyone is comfortable videoing themself ( I'm among them, it took alot of takes!) so submitting an anonymous quote is also an option for that case!
