Is this a new game — make it so hard to get a mediation certificate : kid org U.K.

So my borough told me to contact kid org U.K. if I want certificates of mediation ( in order to appeal ) .

it seems doesn’t even exit .
answer

is it a new game to make u jump more hoops and waste more times and delay … to ….

Oops sorry they responded now . Quite straight forward . Within 3 days . I will get certificate

I'm glad you got a response and it'll be quick to get the certificate.

To your question: yes, it's a delaying strategy. The theory is that mediation is sometimes helpful in preventing the need for an appeal. But I doesn't work because the system is utterly overloaded and not fit for purpose.

i can’t believe it .
before Covid . senco helped a mum get EHCP for her daughter ( who has no proper diagnose only suspicion … must be lots paperwork and powerfully convincing from senco to council ) now 8 years later she finally got referred to CAMHS for dyslexia assessment .

after Covid . All send kids application shooting Up maybe

EHCPs are based on needs, not diagnosis. The legal threshold is the same regardless of if there is a diagnosis or not

now 8 years later she finally got referred to CAMHS for dyslexia assessment .

CAMHS don’t diagnose dyslexia.
