Resource for DD8 mental health/undiagnosed asd

My daughter is waiting to be assessed for asd. In the meantime the school is concerned about her mental health. She's very up and down. There's no in-between.

The school suggested Camhs so I went to the GP but they basically said what you are asking for doesn't happen. They told me to continue with the assessment.

So I'm waiting and wondering if there's anything/resources I can use to help her. I've found 'Moodsparks' but that's for older kids. Is there anything for primary age kids out there for mental health?

School made my ds's referral, initially told me to go to the gp but gp said school should refer.

Yes, thanks. The referral is all underway but the school suggested camhs as mental health support on the side while waiting but it doesn't seem to be available. In the meantime I'm looking for resources to help her.

I meant the school can refer to CAMHS. My ds is 10 moods very up and down, this all started around 8. He has a diagnosis of asd and learning difficulties. We have yet to find anything resource wise to support his mental health needs, mainly as it won't be helpful for him due to his sen.

Sorry I can't advise on resources.
