Complaint about right to choose provider. Is it worth it?

I wonder if anyone can help. I have two referrals in for RTC ASD/ADHD assessments for two of my children.

When they joined the waiting list I was told the wait was 12 months. They are now saying it's 2 years. I would not necessarily have gone with that provider if I'd know the wait was so long and don't see why it's changed when they were already on the list (e.g. back in January 2024 I was told one of my children would be seen by January 2025) but they are now saying January 2026. What's to stop them pushing it back even further?

Does anyone have experience on this or advice on who to complain to? Feel really frustrated by this and torn whether just to start again with another provider...

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Unfortunately, for numerous reasons, waiting times do go up and down, and yes they could increase further.
