Is this a symptom of ADHD/ADD?

My 7 year old son is currently being assessed for ADHD/ADD and I'm wondering if this could also be a symptom of it.

Basically he goes nuts over the stupidest thing, for instance yesterday he couldn't find his glasses and so he was in a huge strop ALL MORNING, he was violent, throwing things around, whinging every few seconds...just being a right pain. But I know this could just be normal 7 year old behaviour too?

If anyone touches anything he is due to eat he will declare world war 3 on them too and kick off, refuse to eat it and become violent and nasty.

I couldnt say to be sure. My dd has ADHD & shes not like that, but her non ADDER sister is. Theres loads of info on the web about ADHD if you do a search, & if hes being assessed they will find out for sure one way or the other.

my son is like this. It can be as simple as he doesnt get the cup he wants (but he wont say what cup he wants till he doesnt get it IYSWIM) He had a huge tantrum today because him and his cousin were looking for shells in nannas garden and he could only find one and his cousin found 3! He was hitting himself and screaming for and hour ish
