Dd7 Is a lovely little girl, she talks non stop about absolutely anything and loves telling jokes.
But since she was a baby we’ve had concerns and as she’s getting older certain things are becoming more obvious.
she has/had a speech delay and was referred from primary school to a speech therapist. Obviously Covid happened and it was delayed so she didn’t see an actual nhs therapist until this year but she had a therapist at school.
shes a lot better now but has a lisp still.

she really struggles with friendships and although she has friends, she will cry most days that she doesn’t and that because someone doesn’t want to play with her or her way that “everyone hates me”. She struggles to join into other people’s games.
she absolutely hates any loud noises, will cover her ears and cry.

She still can’t wipe her own bum. She will sob and is terrified of doing it. Iv tried numerous things and she’s scared.

she talks non stop, about the most random things constantly.
she doesn’t sleep! Has probably slept through the night 10x in her whole life. She wakes up at ridiculous o’clock every day.

I don’t know what to do:(

school says she’s smart, funny and has friends. 😩

Have you spoken to the SENCO or just the class teacher?

You can request an EHCNA yourself. On their website, IPSEA has a model letter you can use.

Does DD take melatonin or anything else to aid sleep?

Has DD been referred to OT? In some areas you can self refer.
