DLA Lower rate but I think he should be getting middle

I have a son who is 6 and has been getting middle rate dla since he was born.
my youngest son 9 months has been diagnosed with the same condition he’s been given lower rate dla , anyone got any experience of this?
my youngest is slightly worse than the eldest child too

You can request a mandatory reconsideration if you don’t think the award is right. If you do, remember you are comparing DC2 to a typical peer of the same age, not to DC1 now. In case you don’t already know, the award can go down as well as up.

Just found out the care rate wasn’t wrong just the back payment wasn’t for full period they had his forms for.
