Dla renewal and change of education

Sent forms back February for June renewal, anyone else waiting for June want to join me waiting?
I'm yet to receive a letter to say they received it but it was signed for so haven't bothered calling.

I also included the LA Panel declining a special unit for the 4th time, there are no other options but to home educate as main stream have made it very clear they can't meet needs.

Does this count as a change of circumstances for dla? I'm more concerned that this will go against future decisions as we will no longer have school reports to send after this renewal.

You don’t have to EHE unless you actually want to. You can appeal to SENDIST (or if you don’t have the right of appeal right now, when you next have the right of appeal). Do you have it in writing from the MS?

Beginning EHE isn’t a change of circumstance for DLA.

I don't want to HE, I have made this clear to the LA they really don't care. I don't believe it's in my child's best interest.

Yes I have it in writing from ms and their letter was also included in panels decision each time.
Not sure where to turn, I haven't been given any advice of any other option apart from HE.
No one seems to want to help anymore.

If you don’t want to EHE you absolutely don’t have to.

I presume DC has an EHCP, yes? Do you have the right of appeal at the moment? If so, you can appeal to SENDIST. If you don’t currently have the right of appeal, when was the last review? Was the panel decision following a review?

If you haven’t already, reading IPSEA and SOSSEN’s website will help you learn more about the EHCP process.

Not sure if the laws are the same sorry I should have added we're in Wales he has an IDP.

Yes, the Panel decision was shortly after review. I will have to ask if I can appeal again as I wasn't given the option this time but had it after the other 3 times.

Have a look at SNAP Cymru. They provide a similar service for Wales that IPSEA and SOSSEN provide for England. You will get the right of appeal and can appeal to the Education Tribunal.
