How young is too young for a diagnosis? Huge family history of ADHD, issues with concentration have been flagged since pre-school, very chatty, talks over people, doesn't listen, not hyperactive, made a couple of impulsive choices at school that have led to trouble. School have also said they think she is dyslexic so we had assumed that was the issue with concentration but it comes out in Gym and swimming lessons too.

No point discussing with GP as they will brush it off so we will go through (tried and tested) private diagnosis but obviously don't want to be spending huge sums on a hunch!

Y1 isn’t too early for an assessment.
