Ds (3) has been referred to SALT for behavioural problems at nursery - mainly to do with lack of appropriate interaction and aggression. We've finally got an appointment through and they are going to observe him next week.
Has anyone been through this and will there be some useful outcomes? Or is it very dependent on who you get. Any tips for our meeting?
TIA

just been through the observation alat nursery process - outcome was onward refer to other professionals, some general advice about how to encourage his play and language, and that salt was going to write a language program for nursery to follow. we spoke in some detail about where my ds is at languagewise, had to prod for detail about how he was socialising.

Should add that ds has good speech, its mainly for behaviour he has been referred.

I imagine SALT might still be looking in case he has any subtler problems with speech/interaction (say not knowing how to initiate conversations, or difficulties with the meaning of words/facial expressions etc).
