DS's assessment - what is the social care aspect ?

DS is 2 weeks into a 4 week assessment.

He has seen speech th, physio, occ th, clinical psych.

Next week he is apparently being seen by someone under the title of Social Care.

What is this ? And why do they assess ?

It's a multi disiplinary (sp) assessment.

I asked one of the people when we went this morning and they said it's basically a social worker.

Don't really know what will be involved tho.

It's tomorrow.
