freting that it is meningitis and have been imagining what would we do if it is. She could become more brain damaged. Would we turn off machines?
Driving myself nuts here but the thoughts go over and over. I have 2 friends who's children were brain damaged through meningitis and both are so bad they have no recognition of anyone, can't see, can't move or walk or talk and 'no-body's home'
I want to be at the hozzie but need to be here with the boys too.
I've even been imagining dd's funeral.
Someone slap me.

((NMC)). No slapping here. Can anyone come and keep an eye on the boys so you can get up to the hospital?

TotalChaos · 17/02/2008 22:09

((NMC)). You are going through this, whilst still getting over the traumatic experience of the status epilepticus a few days ago, it's only natural that your thoughts are going to be rather erm anxious.

nmc
went through a similar thing when dd's freind just died. no warning. just gone.
I had all these weird thigs going through my head. and yes I got to the funeral bit too.
what you are going through is terrifing(with dd i think i went in to denial)

grab hold of the black humour. come on ttr and make black jokes,
this is how me and my freind get though it.

Oh nmc be strong ((()))

DD2 was in hospital recently with pneumonia and I didn't know whether to plan her funeral or her birthday party

Healing thoughts coming your way for her.

((Nmc)) I must have missed a post of yours - I take it that dd is back in hospital?

You're still reeling from the last time and it's horrid being torn between the hospital and your other children. Hope you can get a decent night's sleep and get back up there first thing?

((( NMC ))) Thinking of you just now, and I really hope that she's feeling a tiny bit better today?

needmorecoffee · 18/02/2008 07:31

well, no phone call in the night. I'm off to the hozzie in a minute. Thank gawd we got a car last week. Talk about nick of time. There's no wheelchair accessible buses on a sunday so we woldn't have been able to get to the hozzie and may have had to wait till today all fretty. You can't dial 999 for 'scraming' one imagines?
