Hi all,
I am looking for recommendations for education settings for my low functioning autistic daughter who is due to start school Sept 24. She is currently in two mainstream nurseries, both of which are fab with her and she seems to really enjoy the outdoors and child based approach both settings provide (chosen specifically).
She is low functioning and has speech and language, communication and sensory issues. We are embarking on an EHCP for her and have been directed to look at local offer schools with SEN units. I have looked at a couple, but my concern is how she would cope in the environment - we would prefer more of a therapeutic, outdoorsy educational setting which accepts children with EHCP/special needs - does such a place exist?!
Ideally we are looking at somewhere in South west/south central and either state or independent.
